Copyright and images

Images can be protected by copyright even when they are available online, have transparent backgrounds, contain no copyright notice, or can be downloaded without payment. Display on PNGKid does not automatically place an image in the public domain or grant unrestricted reuse rights.

Uploader responsibilities

Users who upload content must have the necessary rights or permission to make that content available through PNGKid. Uploading content that infringes another person's rights is prohibited by our Terms of Use.

Requesting removal

If you are a rights holder or authorised representative and believe an image on PNGKid infringes your rights, email admin@pngkid.com with enough information for us to identify and assess the content.

Please include

1. your full name and a reliable contact email address;
2. the PNGKid URL of each image you want us to review;
3. a clear description of the copyrighted work or other right involved;
4. an explanation of why you believe the use is unauthorised;
5. confirmation that the information you provided is accurate and that you are the rights holder or authorised to act for them;
6. any supporting evidence that may help us assess the request.

What happens next

We may temporarily restrict content while reviewing a complaint. We may ask for additional information, contact the uploader where appropriate, remove or restrict the material, or decline a request where the information provided does not establish a sufficient basis for removal.

Misuse of the process

Do not knowingly submit false, misleading or abusive claims. A takedown request should identify genuine legal or rights concerns and should not be used simply to remove lawful criticism, competition or unwanted search results.
